Great American's Specialty Group offers a wide variety of specialized property and casualty commercial insurance coverages and services. These specialty insurance products and services are provided through the divisions of Great American Insurance Group and its affiliates:
Focus, specialization, and accountability are key characteristics to the underwriting success of these operations. The Specialty Group is comprised of the following major components:
- Property and Transportation includes inland marine and ocean marine, agricultural-related business, commercial automobile and other property lines
- Specialty Casualty includes executive and professional liability, umbrella and excess liability, excess and surplus lines, general liability and other targeted casualty lines
- Specialty Financial includes fidelity and surety coverages, trade and foreign credit and lease and loan services
- California Workers’ Compensation

In addition to the distinct management and underwriting experience within each business unit, the Specialty Group has also formed a strong support team consisting of Claims, Loss Prevention, Underwriting Services, and Administration professionals, dedicated exclusively to the business mix and needs. Much of this staff is centrally located in Cincinnati to facilitate optimum communication between the Underwriting and Support staff.
